Update 9/26/15: Not sure what happened to my favorite navigation app... Is it the update to iOS9??? The new voice is terrible and no spoken names for streets or if the destination is on the left/right of the street. I had this app on all my iPhones, purchased it when it was $99, please-please fix. Thank you! Update 7/1: Troubles locking GPS signal, my car seems to be ~1/4 mile from where it actually is which is a big problem if Im going through a crowded city/place Ive never been before. I had to close/restart the app a few times before the app actually figured out where I was which is dangerous to do while driving.... had to pool over and I almost got late to a meeting. PLEASE, PLEASE FIX. Update: "Destination on left/right".... Finally a 5 star app! Love you guys!

I just paid an additional years worth for traffic and it says my subscription expired. Please fix ASAP!!

Now the traffic condition are available for free in several applications like google maps & waze , Why not offer that for free to those people bought the application without monthly fees ?? I think no one can buy your app & at the same time theres several free apps included traffic !!!!

The TomTom US and Canada app is still my favorite. I like Apples Maps app, and dont care for Googles. Recently bought a new VW with navigation. But, if I want to get where I need to go with confidence, I keep coming back to TomTom. When paired with a subscription to TomTom Traffic, its unbeatable. On a recent trip, I ignored TomToms advice, and was stuck in an hour-long traffic jam that TomTom was eager to help me avoid. And last evening, my VW nav led me right into another jam that TomTom would have shown me how to bypass. Its my best friend while driving, and worth every bit of its modest cost.

With the latest update, the app tops out at 1.8GB—it dwarfs every other app on my phone and gobbles up so much space I need to decide whether to keep it or not. TomTom can surely do better.

Yeah! This update restores the "Spoken Street Names" and makes this fine app shine yet again! Thanks. AS OF iOS 9 update — ✮✮✮ Lost the computer voice with update to iOS 9. Computer voice provides "Spoken Street Names”. And is invaluable as i drive and watch the road. I hope this is fixed righteously soon. SINCE 26 AUG 2009 — ✮✮✮✮✮ Ive been using PDA GPS navigators for several years. And, yes, theyre not as optimized as stand-alone GPS navigators. But my intent has been to have all of my PIM information available to my navigating solution, and stand-alone navigators never filled my needs. Ever since my Palm-based Garmin IQ3600 and TomToms Palm Treo app, Ive enjoyed navigating with integrated PIM, and it was with some reluctance that I moved to the iPhone over a year ago until I heard that TomTom was building a navigator for it. Ive used the iPhone TomTom and it is a very faithful reproduction of the Treo TomTom experience. Its improved with the better graphics and the integrated iPhone GPS receiver, of course, but all of my "muscle-memory" from the Treo is back and its been great to use. For those of you who havent used PDA-based navigators, take a good read of the other reviews. You may prefer to use stand-alone navigators (borrow one from a close friend and see if you like it). Or you may want to find reviews of other navigators for the iPhone. But for those of you who used TomTom for the Treo, you can finally retire your old Treo -- this one for the iPhone is just great!

This update is not so good It took away voice options I liked better and it doesnt finish the directions completely it cuts out and also doesnt give the side of street it is located on I also needs to delete thing because how big this app is

Love it. The fact it uses no data is great, especially when traveling in Canada. Saved me hundreds of $ on data!!

I paid $100 for this app when it first came. They dont even bother to optimize it for my iPhone 6 Plus! Hate TomTom! I wish I could get a refund.

Updated. Tom Tom has provided off-line maps longer than anyone and unlike others doesnt demand you know where you need to be before you leave. There have been times when Ive had to take a route with no cell service and Tom Tom has saved my butt.

I prefer the TomTom app over the Apple maps. While Apple maps is pretty, it is also dumbed down quite a bit too. The TomTom app is a dedicated GPS app which gives a LOT more control over our route. Furthermore, the map data is all stored locally on the iPhone, meaning you do not need an Internet connection to create a new route. There are still many places in the US where we drive that does not have cell phone coverage (and we have a major carrier). I would not like to lose the ability to generate a new route because I was dependent on cell phone coverage. If you drive a lot, the TomTom app is well worth the price.

Ive a 16gb iPhone and I usually delete my previous tomtom app to update whenever theres an update (due to an insufficient available space). This time Ive deleted the existing one and couldnt get the new one to download ?? Anyone is having a same issue.. Pls fix ASAP! Thx

I absolutely rely on TomTom on my iPhone, and was quite disappointed with the iOS9 update and loss of some key (for me at least) functionality. With these latest updates, all is back to normal meaning that I can rely on its navigation function once again. The voice turn-by-turn was important, as I typically drive through many locales that don’t allow me to hold my navigator to watch each turn. Thanks TomTom for listening.

As far as navigation goes I rate it at the bottom of what is available and is at the VERY high end price point. I would rather have a tooth pulled than use their support ever again. To say it was poor is an understatement!

I purchased a months traffic and its been 3 days and it still wont activate, all I get is the swirlie saying its thinking.

Ive been using this app since it was first introduced many years ago. I have tried other gps but none compare to the Tom Tom. Its awesome, accurate and easy to use!

Great GPS app, love using it however recently I found one annoying thing; I was listening to an audio book while driving and discovered the TomTom app does not have an independent volume control, meaning I either could not hear the book or got blasted by the navigation directions. Please use the available independent volume with the app, also would still love to be able to past a coped address into app

I have owned this app since the beginning and often switch between this and Navigon. After years of paying once a year for traffic, someone decides that they need to start a monthly subscription for traffic updates (Navigon - a Garmin Product offered a lifetime subscription). I dont want another company dipping into my account monthly. GO BACK TO THR ANNUAL PLAN. You dont need monthly access for billing.

Paid for monthly traffic. It isnt activating. Not cool.

Ive got an iPhone 4S. I have previously loved the TomTom app, but the latest update has rendered the app unusable. The app freezes when opening and will not load. Ive deleted the app and re-installed it to no avail. TomTom, PLEASE fix this!
